Part of the Roc-A-Fella empire founded by Jay-Z and Damon Dash, Rocawear was launched in 1999, during Jay's Hard Knock Life Tour in which the rapper and his labelmates appeared onstage in the gear.
"In our music, we talk about what we are," says Dash, "We want to make clothes that help paint that picture." Based around streetwear staples like knit tracksuits, dark denim, leather bomber jackets, and fur-lined hoodies, Rocawear keeps it real by giving fans a piece of the hip hop lifestyle.
Fans can watch the videos, and then buy the clothes sported by superstar rappers like Jay-Z, Method Man, and DMX. In Spring 2002, Rocawear launched its much-anticipated women's line.
Rocawear combines great fabrics and stylish designs with an edge from the streets of New York.
